Formation du troisième gouvernement de Tony Blair

Au lendemain de la victoire plus courte que prévue du Parti travailliste dans les élections générales de jeudi et, accessoirement, le jour de son 52e anniversaire, le Premier ministre britannique Tony Blair a formé son troisième gouvernement.
Sur 23 membres du gouvernement assistant aux réunions du Cabinet, on note l'arrivée de trois nouveaux ministres et le retour de M. Blunkett qui avait démissionné en décembre dernier, tandis que six ministres changent d'attributions et qu'un dernier accroît les siennes.
