Personal Information

My name is Paul Williams, and I have been contributing to the Wikimedia wikis since the 8th of August 2005, when I "slightly expanded" the English Wikipedia article "Internet Relay Chat admin". From then I have gone on to contribute to a number of different wikis, and on the 23rd of June 2006, I made the English Wikinews my new home project.

I am 23 years of age, and come from Essex, England. I graduated with a BA in Technical Theatre from East 15 Acting School, part of the University of Essex, in July 2013.

Wikimedia Projects Information

I am an administrator, accredited reporter, Checkuser, Bureaucrat, and former ArbCom member on the English Wikinews. I sporadically answer OTRS tickets for the Wikinews queue. I am a freenode staffer, operator for the #wikipedia, #wikipedia-en, #wikinews, and #wikinews-en channels, and long-time IRC user and administrator. I am a list administrator for the Wikinews-L mailing list.

I served as the Volunteers Director for Wikimedia UK from April 2009 until December 2009.
